                Conservation

Our mission for each film includes making the beautiful wild habitat and fish the stars of our
show. Most fly fishers think primarily of these concerns when they go fly-fishing. As we take
viewers on our filmed adventures, we believe these concerns are still primary for those of us
who love nature’s beauty and thrills. As people who love the earth and its creatures, we believe
we now must all be more actively engaged in protecting what we cherish. How will we do this?

We will do this by presenting issues of central concern in each show. Viewers should visit our web site and go to the different links offered per show. We will supply link to relevant conservation group's website's, and give current information on what’s being done and needs to be done to help protect these last wild places.

We will also address larger environmental issues that all fly fishers will want to collaborate on in
order to speak with one mighty voice so various state and federal agencies here us clearly. Currently,
many fly-fishing conservation groups are a patchwork of relatively small groups fighting for particular
issues of concern to them. Our goal at Hooked on the Fly is to help become a nexus linking fly fishers
from all over the world to speak with one voice to help protect wild habitats and our finny friends.
As we like to say, “See it. Feel it. Pass it on.”

Electronic postcards will also be available on our site, so with the click of a mouse you
can fire off e-mails to our public and private “representatives” telling them how you feel and what
you think we need to do on specific, crucial and urgent, environmental issues.
